Twisted Kismet

The sometimes crazy road from here to there

Long, long day

Written By: Pam - Sep• 20•13

Well, look at this. I figured out how to blog using the kindle!  Don’t be too impressed because I didn’t figure out how to upload a pic from my phone. Baby steps.

So it took eleven hours to get here from the time I left the house until my tired self got to the hotel. Or just a tad longer, but who is counting. It’s just exhausting. On the upside everything went according to plan. No screaming kids on the flight. Yay!!  The sun is shining. I upgraded the rental car cause I’m a sucker for a “deal”.  Yes, I know.

The drive here was pretty spectcular…up and over the Rockies. a couple of the highest peaks near Vail were partially snow covered. If I hadn’t been going 70 MPH on a winding mountain highway, I would have taken a picture. You’ll just have to take my word for it.

Tomorrow will be a day of hiking. It’s supposed to be chilly tonight (40’s) but in the mid 70’s tomorrow. Love it!

But for now I am going to relax and have a beer before crashing. Oh, and I think I might have the picture problem solved. I’m turning into a geek.

Well, there is a picture so, yes, I think you solved that too! Have fun. Looking forward to hearing how it goes. Hopefully, your changes left you with new territory to cover and away from the natural disasters.

Ok, I sorta cheated to upload the pic. I took it with the kindle so I could add it. Still haven’t figured out how to otherwise do it. Another project for another day. More rain today and new flash flood warnings for parts of the state. I’m ba bit concerned about the drive to Denver tomorrow morning since I-70 goes over the mountains where snow is expected tonight. Didn’tdidn’t sign up for that. I did manage to do a bunch of writing today so all was not lost 🙂
